Lont term investor can consider this stock which will definately give fantastic return in long run. this bank standalone bas and consolidated basis has solid balance sheet. with excellent Q1 results and no significant M2M losses and low NPA it will show PAT growth of say 40-60% so its consider short term target of 2500/- and long term target of 4500/- Long term investor can consider this stock

I would like to hold SBI for about 10 years, any idea what kind of return I could expect?

SBI is good stock i cannot say for 10 years but in next 5 years i am sure it will cross 4500/- mark provided GOI plays active role in M&A in banking spcae so hold out the stock for shart term & Long term point of view
ReplyDeletewhat is the use if 2300/- becomes 4500 after five years, its better to go for risk free debt instruments.
ReplyDeleteMr. TRP
ReplyDeletekindly introduce yourself
with regard to 4500/- i consider matter long term point of view. day traders & shart term investor may consider 2500/- which was acheived
2500 becoming 4500 is not bad. This means a return of 20%. Isn't it good Mr.Tax-trp. Probably you need to something more than that. If that's the case this blog and forum is NOT for you.
ReplyDeletethis forum is for both short term & long term invesors. but this may not be helpful for day traders.
ReplyDeletewith regard to SBI i am confident due to following factors
1. good land bank
2.network of 9000+ branches
3.GOI back up
4.excellent earnings
5.consolidation of subsidairy which will bring down cost
6.ability bring down cost of operations
7.solid book value. so if we consider prive to book value or PE of private bank its attractive
"please read as Price to Book valu" instead of "prive to book value".
